Welcome

Oil City Kings play up tempo R'n'B.  The energy of classic pub rock crashing into classic rock from the sixties.

We mix original compositions with energetic covers of bands like The Sonics and Dr. Feelgood.

Formed in 2013, we've played many gigs including The Dublin Castle in Camden, The Garage in Highbury, Jagz in Ascot, The Acoustic Couch in Bracknell, the Bridge Festival in Maidenhead and a number of pubs in Middlesex and Berkshire.

Thanks to all the staff and students who made us feel so welcome. You can look at some of the pictures that we took on the Live Shots pictures section of the website!

Charity Festival to raise money for a great cause. ADAM'S HOOFING HUT Royal Marine Commando Adam Brown was born in Yateley, Hampshire on the 25th February 1985. On the 1st August 2010 he was tragically killed whilst serving in Afghanistan. He was just 25 years old. It was a dream of Adam and Amy to own a beach hut at Mudeford in Dorset where he spent many a childhood holiday. Upon returning from previous tours of duty he would use a beach hut for some much needed rest and recuperation. In his words “ it is a very special place”. So special that he proposed to Amy there. In January 2011 we started a fund-raising campaign to purchase a beach hut so that Marines and front line troops can use it to relax and reflect. A very safe port in a never-ending storm. On the 22nd April 2013 we made their dream come true and purchased a beach hut at Mudeford. This is solely due to the amazing support and generosity from all of you. We will still be organizing fund raising events to cover annual running costs (council tax £3200) general maintenance and improvements. This hut is not just not an extraordinary memorial to an extraordinary man but it is also a testament to the magnitude of goodwill and belief shown by all of you. Adam enriched the lives of those he came into contact with and we know that this hut will do the same. Thank you
